Handling Precautions

The HERCULES X8 is shipped in a rugged Pelican 1640 case. To ensure the safety of the drone and its accessories when moving in and out of the operation area:

  • Always keep the drone and accessories inside the travel case.
  • Avoid moving the drone already assembled in a car or truck.

Moving the Drone

When relocating to a new operation area using a car or truck, follow these steps:

  1. Disassemble the drone.
  2. Store all parts securely in the travel case.
  3. Reassemble the drone at the new location.

Storage Guidelines

When storing the drone in the travel case, adhere to these 5 rules in order:

  1. Fold and lock the drone arms using the arm-pin lock placed on the lateral covers.
  2. Cover the propellers with the provided sleeves.
  3. Fold the antenna mast to ensure it is secure.
  4. Level the four motors within the upper tray foam.
  5. Place the eight propellers neatly within the upper tray foam.

Failing to follow these steps may result in hardware damage.

Common Issues from Improper Transportation

The most common damages caused by bad transportation include:

  • Propeller damage
  • GPS mast damage
  • Arm carbon fiber tube damage

Pay close attention to these issues, especially after an incident of improper handling or transportation.

By following these precautions and storage guidelines, you can minimize the risk of damage and ensure the HERCULES X8 remains in optimal condition for future operations.
